When you start twitter, you need credibility from the very first moment. Otherwise, you will not convince people to follow you. You create credibility with 1) your content and 2) your profile. The content will attract followers, but your profile will make them actually follow you. Hence, you should convince with every component of your profile:

• Banner
• Username
• Profile Link
• Follower ratio
• Profile Picture
• Pinned Tweets
