1-4 Start thumbs up, flag is brought in front of you, moving from left to right. Flag is flat as it spins behind your back. Stop flag as it is flat and horizontal behind your back.
5 Quickly sweep the flag in front of you, moving it to your left. Make this spin similar to a spiral; move the flag upwards as your spin it to your left and toss as soon as your flag passes your head.
6 Spinning flat above you, right hand stays outstretched above you.
7 Grab flag with right hand
8 Left hand is at bottom pole cap, and flag is horizontal above you.
