Introduction

This manual is your guide to preparing for and administering the CLT and CLT10 on paper. Administrators and proctors must adhere to the guidelines in this manual so that exams are administered uniformly at every test site.

Important 2023-2024 Updates

  1. The number of student to proctor ratio has been decreased to 20, from 35.
  2. The number of emails you will receive prior to testing has been reduced. You can now expect to hear from us soon after submitting your order form, and then eight, six, four, and one week prior to testing.
  3. Order Confirmation will now take place shortly after you submit an order form.
  4. Updates To Deadlines
    1. The print test order confirmation deadline has been changed to the Wednesday 6 weeks before the test.
    2. The online registration deadline is now on the Friday 4 weeks before the test.
  5. You may update your order by submitting this form.
    1. If you are testing Online and would like to add students to the exam, you are not required to submit an order update form. Simply import the additional students and your account manager will update your invoice after testing is completed.
    2. If you are testing on paper, your order must be updated before print order deadline linked in this document.
  6. Automatic score sharing with preferred partner colleges is now available through your student's personal accounts for CLT and CLT10 exams.
  7. Clarification of the terms ‘Registration’ and ‘Import’:
    1. Your school is considered registered for a test when you have scheduled your assessment using this form or by reaching out to your sales representative. Registration for a test must occur prior to importing students for that test.
    2. Importing refers to getting your students’ information into your school administrator portal by uploading an .xlsx or a .csv of your student roster. Importing must be done after you have registered for the test in question — not before. Instructions are included in this manual.

Administrator Info, Registration, and Deadlines

Communication and CLT School Administrator Accounts

Schools must identify an individual to serve as the CLT point of contact. This person will receive all test-related communications and may forward that communication to other school administrators as desired.

Reminders about deadlines and preparing for test-day are emailed regularly to a school’s point of contact in the weeks leading up to an exam. Administrators will begin receiving these emails and preparing for the test eight weeks before the test date.

Multiple school administrators and proctors may request a CLT School Administrator account. Anyone with a CLT School Administrator account is able to import a student roster and view scores and analytics. Please email [email protected] to request an account.

Importing Student Rosters

Instructions for importing your student roster can be found here. These instructions and reminders will also be sent to your school’s point of contact in the weeks leading up to the test.

Dates and Deadlines

Test-specific dates and deadlines, including print order confirmation, accommodations requests, and score release, can be found here. Your school’s point of contact will also receive emails with reminders about these deadlines.

Test Window and Make-Up Dates

Advertised test dates for each CLT administration constitute the testing window. Schools may administer the exam at any time within the testing window. Our test day support team provides live customer assistance throughout the testing window during the times listed in our customer support hours (see below). Students must complete the exam in a single sitting, however, multiple cohorts of students may test at different times.
