MyNour (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the MyNour mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.

1. Overview

MyNour helps you with prayer times, Qibla direction, and daily prayer reminders. We care about your privacy. This policy describes what data we use, where it is stored, and what rights you have.

2. Data We Collect and Use

2.1 Data Stored Only on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device (we do not upload it to our servers):

• App settings: Calculation method, madhhab, theme (light/dark), language, and prayer reminder preferences.
• Prayer tracking: Your marked prayers (e.g. which prayers you have completed on which days).
• Onboarding progress: Whether you have completed the onboarding flow.

We do not have access to this data. You can delete it by uninstalling the App or clearing the App’s data in your device settings.

2.2 Location Data

To show accurate prayer times and Qibla direction, the App uses your device’s location (latitude and longitude). You can allow or deny access when the App asks for permission.

• How we use it: Your coordinates are sent to the Aladhan API (api.aladhan.com) to fetch prayer times and Qibla direction. We do not store your location on our servers. We may cache prayer times locally on your device to reduce requests.
• Optional: If you deny location access, you can still use the App with a default or manually chosen location where supported.
