Hi, I’m Ayush, currently a 3rd year undergraduate pursuing mechanical engineering from IIT Roorkee and a **Designer at SDSLabs.** This Design Assignment was made in regards to my application for Design Internship.
As for the primary research, I reach out to people I know would be in the target user base, and gather insights from face-to-face user interviews.
But in this case, due to a lack of time (as mentioned above,) I had to skip this part, other wise it would have taken much longer time than this.
Hence, I started with the secondary research, where I competitor analysis of the currently existing Meal Planning Apps.

Competitor Analysis between Samsung Food, Plan to eat, Paprika, Mealime.
Among the above apps, Samsung Food had the best UI, along with functioning grocery and health tracking as well. Paprika had a robust recipe management system. But none had the option to order groceries without manually buying them.
Then I created two fictional user personas which would broadly represent our target users.
But then it striked me, instead of making this an independent app, only for meal planning, why dont I make it an extension app of some other existing app. I made this app as an extension of the Blinkit app.
