The best way to access your emails on mobiles and tablets is to use the Microsoft Outlook app. This is because it is most compatible with modern security requirements and also offers additional functionalities (such as adding other mailboxes).

How to use Outlook Simply download the Microsoft Outlook app from your mobile device’s app store, open it and sign in using your Microsoft 365 details (email address and password). You should not be asked to choose an account type or for any configuration details.

  1. Open the App Store or Google Play on your device
  2. Search for Microsoft Outlook
  3. Select this once found and tap GET
  4. The app will be downloaded to your device; find it on your home screens and open it

Use native mail apps Email apps (such as Apple Mail) that come preinstalled on mobile devices are not as functional as Outlook. If you wish to use a native email app instead of Outlook for a specific reason, you may need to request that it is enabled for your account.

  1. Add a new email account (e.g. via Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account)
  2. Choose type Microsoft Exchange
  3. Enter your Email address and a Description for the account for your reference
  4. Select the option to Sign in to configure your account
  5. Sign in on the Microsoft page using your Microsoft 365 details (email address and password), you may also be asked for an MFA code
  6. Wait for your account to verify, enable the services you wish to use (e.g. Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc), and finally tap Save at the top right to finish
