You identify the highest leverage problems we need to be working on and you decide the approach we should be taking to solve that particular problem in the most optimal way. We are firm believers in Steve Jobs’s quote - "It doesn't make sense to hire smart people and tell them what to do; we hire smart people so they can tell us what to do."

Growth at an accelerated pace

As a company, we ask ourselves where we want to be in 5 years and how can we get there in 6 months instead. We ask ourselves the same question as individuals as well. At Animall, as long as you know the direction towards which you want to go, we will enable you in every way to reach there at 10x faster pace.

Great platform to explore anything

Regardless of whether you’re an intern or in a leadership role, you get to choose what you want to work on. For example - if you’re in tech but want to explore marketing/design/anything else, you’re always welcome to do that. You will also always have colleagues helping you learn that faster.

This includes, getting, accepting and giving regular and honest feedback to everyone you are working with. If you liked something that someone did, let them know so they can double down on it, if you think someone needs to improve on something, let them know so they are aware of it and can start working on it.

We are a technology driven organisation, you'll get to work on the best in class technologies be it Batch processing and Stream Processing, Scalable & Reliable systems that handle millions of requests per second or have "four nines of availability" etc. We also aspire to network deeply with the technology community - be it events like Devoxx and Google Developer days or contributing to Free and open-source software (FOSS).

Some of the things that may not be a good fit for everyone, so please read them carefully to decide if Animall would be a good fit for you.

  1. Once you are a part of the team, everyone in the team will assume that you are smart and mature enough to handle anything that you choose to work on.  While everyone in the team will be there to guide/assist you in any way you ask for, but the buck stops at you on anything that you work on. This level of ownership and accountability can sometimes make you feel overwhelmed. In our experience - ambitious people who want to grow at an accelerated pace often thrive in this kind of environment but it can be toll-taking for most other people. In general if you need regular hand-holding, we are not likely to be a good fit for you.
  2. Currently, we have very limited processes as we believe that this helps us operate with much higher efficiency. If you’re someone who likes working in an extremely process-driven environment, we might not be a good fit for you. (Unless you change our perception about processes, we are open about that too :) )
  3. We have strong affinity towards people who have a high level of self-awareness because this helps us help you. In one-on-one conversations, we usually depend upon what you believe is working out for you and what’s not, so we expect a high level of self-awareness. If you have limited self-awareness, and don’t actively want to improve on this aspect, we will probably not be a good fit for you.
