Orrin is a family tooth-brushing habit tracker. We designed Orrin to be private by default: the app has no backend server of its own, no user accounts, and no advertising or analytics tracking. The developer cannot read your data.
Data We Process
Orrin processes only the information you enter to make the app work:
- Profile data — profile name, chosen avatar, profile type (adult/child), accent color, daily brushing goal, and reminder times.
- Brushing activity — the date, time, and duration of completed brushing sessions, and the streaks and statistics derived from them.
- An iCloud-provided identifier — used solely to recognize the family members you have invited to share progress with.
Orrin does not collect your name through sign-in, email address, password, phone number, contacts, location, photos, health records, or device advertising identifiers. There is no account to create.
Where Your Data Is Stored
- On your device — all data is stored locally on your iPhone.
- In your own iCloud — data is mirrored to your personal iCloud account (Apple CloudKit private database) so it survives device changes. This storage is managed by Apple. The developer has no server and cannot access the contents of your iCloud data.
- Family sharing (optional) — if you invite family members, a lightweight summary (profile name, avatar, brushing streak and statistics) is shared with those specific people through a private Apple CloudKit shared zone. Only the family members you explicitly invite can see it. Raw session times stay in each person's own private iCloud and are never shared.
How We Use Data
Your data is used only to:
- Run the app's features (track brushing, show streaks, schedule reminders).
- Display the family dashboard to members you have invited.
- Manage your subscription status.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or analytics, and we never sell it.
