We have different kind of positions available with a convenient economic profile, both at the graduate and undergraduate level. The ERMES research group is part of the Dipartimento di Ingegneria e Scienze dell'Informazione e Matematica dell'Università degli Studi dell'Aquila
Several positions are available for undergraduates and graduates in the ERMES project.
The ERMES project brings together researchers, software engineers, and experts in the railway domain. The goal is to define a complex software platform that, surpassing the state-of-the-art, allows the design and generation of station, platform and line management and control software within the Italian national railway system. The project, fully funded by RFI SpA (Italian Railway Network), has a total duration of 6 years starting from 2018 and has so far employed over 12 people in the DISIM laboratory at the University of L'Aquila.
The candidates have the opportunity to become world-class experts in safety-critical systems and certified software, whose design requires uncommon and highly expendable skills and competencies in the industrial as well as academic fields. In addition, undergraduate fellows can further develop their interests in master's thesis.
Positions offer a convenient economic treatment and flexible, result-based time and agenda management.
For positions from (1) fellowship requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or information engineering, (2) research fellowship requires a master's degree in computer science or information engineering.

L'Aquila is a vibrant town wrapped in the Apennine mountains with the Gran Sasso massif in the background. It is home to numerous academic and public and private research institutions, including the Università degli Studi dell'Aquila, Gran Sasso Science Institute, Fine Arts Academy, Music Academy, and INFN/LNGS.
