One is the first true friend the Owner ever formed a deep connection with. They appear as a memory fragment.
One’s appearance changes depending on the stage of the story, later on they become more faded and distorted.
One is confident, expressive, and charismatic; they enjoy being noticed and being “the important one.”
This is reflected in their catchphrase:
“The one and only — One!”
They often lead conversations, choose activities, set boundaries, decide when interaction ends. This feels comforting at first, but later, it feels limiting. However, One does not intend to control others. They simply learned to survive by being independent and self-focused.
By time they become more distant, less emotionally available and more guarded.
They also are really dependent on other’s opinions and social judgement.
Owner describes One as a former friend. They are Owner’s first major emotional attachment.
However, the relationship was unbalanced: One led, the Owner followed.
