We live in an age where everything is digital and meetings are virtual. Now more than ever, this "always-on" lifestyle can cause individuals to suffer from burnout, making it difficult for them to keep up with their health needs.
There are already tools available online that offer self-care resources to users or allow them to speak to health professionals virtually, but it's rare to find a product that is designed in a way that is accessible and inclusive to users of all varying needs.
While my design development was far from linear, I completed it with the following methods:
Create a resource for individuals who are either looking for a virtual therapy and self-care resource or currently invested in their mental health and looking for a new application to utilize.
Now more than ever, the virtual therapy and self-care industry is growing in popularity and demand. The stresses caused by these uncertain times and the inability to have in-person meetings have resulted in the importance of virtual therapy sessions.
Before I could begin my design process, I had to get a better understanding of this industry and my users. I began by writing out possible issues my users have or could have with a product such as Olive and crafted an initial hypothesis to base my design thinking process on.
