About Obscured Hollows

• Obscured Hollows are hidden maps in the overworld that can contain valuable items or wild Pokémon.
• A wild Pokémon found in an Obscured Hollow will always have its Hidden Ability.
• If a wild Pokémon in an Obscured Hollow faints, it will respawn after certain criteria have been met. If the Pokémon is caught, it will not respawn.
• Items found in Obscured Hollows, including Old Coins, do not respawn.

Types of Obscured Hollows

Obscured Hollows come in a variety of shapes. It’s likely that more will be added as the game expands in future editions.

Old Coins

You can find Old Coins in the majority of Obscured Hollows. Old Coins can be traded in with several NPCs around the region for uncommon items like evolution items. Old Coins do not respawn, so be mindful about how you spend them!
