- KR: Invitation received from Cisco Foundation to submit a proposal for 10.24-9.2025 funding at $371k or more (NS)
- KR 2+ open RFPs submitted through government funding and Gitlab (NS)
- KR: 3 invitations from foundations to submit proposals, from a list of approximately 30 priority prospects and current funders (NS and EK)
Objective 2: Grow and engage board to secure new fundraising pathways
- KR: Persona developed for the ideal fundraising board member (EK and NS)
- KR: Board members are informed and capable of pitching specific programs (NS)
Objective 3: Create methods of easily sharing financial reporting with WOCL board
- KR: Templates and methods developed and shared with board and funders for financial reporting (NS and EK)
2024 Q1
Q1 Overview: No funds were raised during the first quarter of 2024. We focused efforts on hiring two new roles, refining programmatic strategies for engaging prospective funders, and making in roads to foundations with the capacity to give larger sums of money.
Objective 1: Raise or have line of sight to $290k enabling us to hire for the Director of Ecosystem Development and a Marketing Manager in H2, pay for community moderation, and fund gaps in current operational salaries (NS and EK)
- KR: At least 5 proposals/concept notes submitted in the amount of $100k+ each
- Status: 3 concept notes submitted (Family and Workers Fund, Anthropocene, and Earthshot, 12.17.23)
- KR: Identify top 25 major gift opportunities between foundations, HNWI, and grant opportunities for Q2
- Status: ~26 within the pipeline across categories
