OBS Overlay Guide

This guide explains how to use Stylish Action HUD as a live browser overlay in OBS.

Method A: Broadcast Account (Recommended)

The simplest setup. No special URLs needed — just log in and it works.

Setup

  1. In Foundry, create a non-GM user for streaming (e.g. "OBS"). A Player role with no password works.
  2. Go to Module Settings > Stylish Action HUD > Configure Broadcast.
  3. Select the broadcast user from the dropdown.
  4. Optionally select a default actor to display. Leave empty to show all tracked actors.
  5. Save.

OBS Configuration

  1. Add a Browser Source in OBS.
  2. Set the URL to your Foundry address (e.g. http://localhost:30000).
  3. Set resolution to match your output (e.g. 1920x1080). See Resolution & Blurriness.
  4. Open Interact in OBS, select the broadcast user, and click Join.
  5. Overlay mode activates automatically. Done.

Changing the Displayed Actor

The GM can switch the displayed actor at any time from the broadcast settings dialog. The change is applied to the broadcast client in real-time — no need to reload OBS.
