Overview

Nourish ("the app", "we", "us") is a food journaling app built with your privacy in mind. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We keep things simple: most of your data never leaves your device.

What Data We Collect

Data stored on your device only

• Meal photos you log
• Meal notes, captions, and mood tags
• Your profile information (name, weight, height, goals, unit preferences)
• Daily notes
• App settings and preferences

This data is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework and is never transmitted to our servers.

Data sent to third-party services

Anthropic (Claude AI)

When you use the "Analyze this meal", "Done for the day", or Nourish Coach (AI chat) features, the following is sent to Anthropic's API to generate your AI analysis or coaching response:

• The meal photo (if one exists)
• Your meal captions, notes, and tags
• Basic profile context (name, dietary preferences, goals — no contact info or device identifiers)
