Noun o'clock (NOC) is a project to transform the time from "T-10 minutes from auction ending" to "whenever that auction inevitably ends" into an engaging daily internet drama.

So what's up?

Today, participating in a nouns auction is largely an exercise in whale watching. Large ethereum holders excited to join the ecosystem have a thrilling experience bidding to win the auction. The party plays out in several other channels — the discord #general chat, occasional Twitter spaces, the sharkdao chat, and partybid.app participation.

But the audience is only partially engaged. This activity is distributed across the internet and doesn't always lead to sustained day-over-day participation and activity.

We want to make the nouns auction more fun, communal, social, and alive.

Inspiration

HQ trivia did a great job making the show feel alive and active with a live host, chat, viewer count, a countdown to the show starting, and more. This might be further than we want to go with the nouns auction, but is a great north star for where we could end up.
