The following pages are a good start for getting your company workspace up and running. They are modeled after how we work here at Notion so many things will be specific to our business and the way we do things. However, Notion is really flexible so you'll have the freedom to change these templates to fit whatever you're needs. This is just a recommendation or perhaps inspiration to get you going.

The first section is related general company information and on-boarding new hires.

• The is where your company will fill out their contact information so everyone can reach each other. We know, it isn't ideal for an org chart just yet, but we're working on it 🔨😅.
• Media Assets is a place where you can upload logos and other assets that you want to share externally for publishers and journalists.

The second section is the core internals of your company that span across all departments.

• The database is where everyone keeps track of their tasks. Everyone has their own task board by filtering down tasks that are assigned to them. When you create a new task and set the assignee to another person, they will receive a notification. Tasks are also linked to a few other databases using a Relation property. They will make more sense once we explain what those other databases are.
• The database is a place for high-level planning. Think of it as a meta version of the Tasks database — projects can have multiple tasks related to them. Projects have a status and a date range planned for working on them.
• and are central places to record all meetings notes and reports for your entire company. If you don't want everything to be public within the entire company, consider creating a similar database inside the private section of the sidebar 👈.
• The is a place for everyone to share interesting links and articles that are relevant to the company.

The last section is a home base for every department. This is where things start to get a bit more specific to the way we work here at Notion.

• Inside Engineering we various have information about on-boarding new engineers and engineering documentation. We also have a database for keeping track of what tasks, bugs, and features were deployed and when.
• The database is a table with a task board for moving candidates through different stages and a relation to Tasks so recruiters can create tasks for themselves specific to a candidate.
• Community & Support is where we document guidelines for interacting with customers as well as a database for collecting and aggregating information about feature requests.
• is a database of our largest customers for a salesperson to keep track of which customers are on a free trial and set a reminder when trial is going to expire.
