Concept and visuals for the first version of the Notion iOS app.
The on-the-go worker of 2017 increasingly needs access to their documents on their mobile device in addition to their laptop workspace. Whether it is to quickly show a prototype of an app on the fly to a client or to jot down a task that comes to you during a meeting that needs to be incorporated into your team workflow — an integrated app like Notion needs a versatile and robust mobile equivalent.
As we have mobile apps for slack, google drive... an application that brings all these powerful tools together under a native mobile app is poised to enter the market as a leader in distribution. Much like how Walmart became a leader in distributing physical products from companies who wanted their products all in the same place for the convenience of the shopper, Notion has a chance to create the same integrated experience — but for the digital platform.

So in order to see Notion in action, I downloaded the Desktop app to start playing around with the product and also envision what my actions for accessing the different features would be like on mobile. Therefore I kept the following in mind during my design process:
