Despite Notion stating:

• If you have Notion open on a mobile device or computer, you won't receive push or email notifications for reminders — you'll only see the badge next to All Updates.

• If Notion is not open on your mobile device or computer, then you will receive a push or email notification.

• To always receive email updates regardless of whether or not you have the app open, you can enable Always send email notifications in the My notifications section of Settings & members.

In our experience on all our accounts, the notification system has always been broken.

Ensuring notification always reach any device the user chooses is imperative to many users but in order for this important bug to be fixed and the additional notification options feature request to stand a chance of being prioritised correctly, we need as many people as possible to vote for it by tweeting @NotionHQ so others can see it and also comment, (or privately via email team@makenotion.com
