5G connects everyone to everything and it combines with other key disruptors, such as the cloud, edge cloud, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), to digitally transform even the most physical aspects of our lives.

New security threats exploit the wider footprint of emerging technologies, software and data centric world. Security — from devices and access sites to cloud edge and network core — is critical to implementing resilient networks and services.

Nokia solutions are built for security, and we are pleased to participate in the 5G Hackathon event. Our security challenge is one of the methods for getting insights into future attack surfaces and to be able to design the defenses of future products accordingly.

Ready for the challenge? With this challenge we are offering you an opportunity to put your skills to the test as you perform a remote intrusion into an edge cloud data center via pre selected IP ports.

During the challenge you will encounter both well-known and proprietary protocols. Can you sniff the monitoring traffic between the systems? Can you inject your own traffic into the mix

Interested in a treasure hunt? Can you find and retrieve the special flags from the systems? Points will be awarded based on a combination of severity of findings (we use CVSS 3.1 as basis) and speed.

Nokia experts will be available to facilitate the activity.
