You must complete the following steps to become a Forta Node Operator:
Complete the application form, which will be assessed in the order they are received.
Eligible participants will receive a invitation link to the Fortification Onboarding Portal by email, which will allow them to complete the required KYC process and accept the terms of participation. Due to the high volume of applications, only eligible participants will contacted and provided with this link.
Following successful completion of KYC and acceptance of the terms in the Fortification Onboarding Portal, participants will receive an email describing next steps.
After completing the Fortification Onboarding Portal, you will receive instructions to configure your Forta scan node. Follow instructions in the Scan Node Quickstart guide to configure a node.

Register to add your node’s address in the Scan Node Registry Smart Contract using the forta register command.

Start your Scan Node so that it will begin processing once staking begins.

After completing the Fortification Onboarding Portal, you will receive an email with a link to a form in which you will be asked to share your unique Scan Node address (and owner address). After this, Forta Foundation will stake on your behalf.
For the first phase of Fortification, the Forta Foundation will stake on your node on your behalf. Once staked, your node will be assigned bots as new bots arrive on the network.
