Frequently Asked Questions

What does Nexus Ping do?

Nexus Ping is a network diagnostics tool that lets you run ping tests, traceroutes, port scans, DNS lookups, and more — all from your iPhone or iPad.

Why does the app show high latency?

High latency can be caused by your Wi-Fi signal, network congestion, or the server you're testing. Try pinging a closer server (e.g. your router IP) to isolate the issue.

Why does ping fail sometimes?

Some servers block ICMP requests, so ping may time out even if the server is online. Try a different host.

Does the app require special permissions?

Nexus Ping may request local network access to run diagnostics on your local network. This permission is optional.

Is my data stored or shared?

No. All network tests run locally on your device. No data is collected or sent to any server.
