This Ethereum Proposal Wants to Bring Revenue Back to Developers
Introduction of New EIPs
EIP-6969 is looking to implement Contract-Secured Revenue (CSR) that would benefit developers and reduce network congestion on Ethereum L2s. Currently, transaction fees on Ethereum go to miners who validate transactions, leaving little incentive for developers to improve the network. The new proposal suggests redirecting a portion of transaction fees to a separate pool that would fund development grants. This would incentivize developers to create better applications and improve the network, ultimately benefiting everyone.
