Tips for Reaching Out Effectively: Write clearly, briefly, and include photos if possible of the U-Haul, your packed belongings, any apartment paperwork, and emails with Village for Vets. Attach a simple timeline showing how long this has been going on and your current status. Use language like:
“I am a veteran experiencing retaliation and neglect in the HUD-VASH rehousing process. I have a packed U-Haul, confirmed apartment, and nowhere to go because Village for Vets failed to complete their end of the paperwork after weeks of communication. This is harming my health and safety, and I believe the public deserves to know how veterans are being treated by these taxpayer-funded organizations.”
