This is a big release! Not only did we increase stability and unlock some major performance improvements, but we also did a little re-organizing.

We’ve introduced a new structure to the app that makes navigating between your spaces and jumping into apps faster and more intuitive. When you open the app you’ll notice that all of your spaces live in the navigation drawer. The drawer is available from any screen in a single swipe. If you’re chatting with your roommates and want to see you shared grocery list, just swipe open the drawer and press the shopping list. If you need to see your shared class notes, press on your study group space, and then the notes app.

We’re really excited about this direction as we think it more clearly communicates the structure of spaces: spaces are made of people (who you can now add/remove right from the card) and apps, and it’s all in view with a single swipe.

Going forward, we’re going to be working hard to bring new apps to your spaces, including apps made by outside developers (🥳). This redesign is the first step to put the space app experience front and center.
