Ven’s personality is quite complicated. He has ADHD, BID, ASPD, and severe anxiety. As a result, he’s fairly naive but does have some sense of self respect when he learns patterns. He knows when and how to back off even if it takes a second to process. Ven loves in a unique way but when he realizes it isn’t reciprocated, he’ll stop. Cari isn’t an exception to it (for now at least), as much as he fantasizes and admires Cari. Usually Cari’s signs aren’t visible to Ven though, unless it’s quite harsh. This pushes him to self isolate for a while and let other things take his time until Cari comes around.

Though Ven’s generally a loser, he does hang around Cate and her friends at times and he chats with a new France transfer student named Jácques. Jácques makes it pretty clear that he enjoys Ven’s company and he sees right through Cari’s shit, often trying to warn Ven in French so Cari can’t understand. Ven obviously ignores him about it though and swears Cari is a sweet guy and just not ready to go out with Ven yet.
