NYC Indie Games is a social group for local indie developers. Since 2013, I’ve hosted a regular social in Manhattan for the group on first Wednesdays.
From 2015 to 2020, I served as chair or co-chair of the New York City chapter of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA). My goal in building up the chapter was to make it a gateway for information about the game dev scene in New York.
The chapter hub is home to handy resources like the Discord and community event calendar.
The NYC Game Dev Digest is a comprehensive monthly roundup of local job listings, education and development opportunities, community events, and news about New York game makers, as well as chapter news and events.
