Although I come from a family of technical professionals—my parents are both doctors—I feel extremely fortunate to have grown up in a household filled with music. My father, an aficionado of ghazals and old Hindi songs, also writes poetry and composes ghazals, while my mother, with a contrasting taste, loves English classics—from The Scorpions and The Beatles to Lobo and Bryan Adams. Growing up, I was constantly surrounded by diverse sounds, often listening to the radio, and spent much of my childhood immersed in the natural beauty of Army Cantonments.
From an early age, I felt a strong inclination towards music. I began learning harmonium from my father, who taught me the basics, and gradually, through self-learning, guidance from teachers, and encouragement from my school, I picked up the keyboard and started performing in school assemblies and events. I was fortunate to have remarkable teachers who consistently pushed me to improve.
My journey with the guitar began when I saw a senior performing Hotel California on classical guitar. Inspired by that moment, I started exploring the instrument on the side, eventually developing a deep passion for it. Over time, I became the vice president of my school music club, not only for my performance skills but also for my ability to coordinate rehearsals and collaborate with fellow musicians.
Academically, I was a diligent student, excelling in my studies and choosing the Non-Medical stream in Class 12. While music remained a cherished hobby, academics were my primary focus during this period. Later, I was selected for a BTech in Computer Science at Lovely Professional University with a scholarship. Although I enjoyed learning programming and logical problem-solving, my heart continued to belong to music.
Throughout college, I actively participated in numerous events, performing and winning awards in singing, group singing, and guitar. I became known as the student who could captivate audiences with my guitar performances, solidifying my love for both creating and sharing music.
