I bought the heater in 2020 for Bangalore winters. My initial analysis was that this has a good brand name "Usha" which has become a very popular household name and that the price wasn't too high. So I thought it would be a value for money product. So here comes the truth after using it for all this time:

Pros:

  1. Relatively low on power consumption - at 800 Watts, this isn't a power sucker like the other 1000 Watt ones (a clear 20% reduction on electricity charges)

  2. A room heater with less weight - very easy to transport across rooms.

Cons:

  1. Do not have a blower. Works on the principle that the quartz rod gets heated and the reflective surface directs the heat outwards. Hence, only suitable for small rooms. If you have a large room with a big french glass door/window, this ain't going to help you on a chilly winter night.

  2. The product is of poor quality and does not do justice to the brand name. One of the quartz rod stopped working within the first few months of actual usage (please do note that this is not a frequently used product in Bangalore since the usage is limited to only Nov - Jan).

  3. Very difficult to find a service center nearby. With only one rod functional, the product is almost as good as not usable.

  4. The fence/grill is not removable for cleaning or at least I haven't found a way to open it.Overall: not recommended if you're considering this to be a long-lasting, no-maintenance product.

The quartz rods are awesome it produces heat under 20-30 seconds after power on But due to the 2 number of rods its heat occupies a less area. Two persons can enjoy its heat smoothly by sitting in front of it.it is good for a room of size less than 10×15. According to its size and price it gives its best.
