Ingredients:
- 1 can Spam, sliced into 6 pieces
- 600–720g cooked short-grain rice
- About 100–120g rice per musubi
- 3 sheets nori, cut in half lengthwise
- Furikake, optional
- Thin egg omelette, optional
Sauce:
- 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp mirin
- 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
Steps:
- Slice the Spam into 6 even slices.
- Pan-fry the Spam until browned on both sides.
- Add soy sauce, mirin, and sugar to the pan.
- Glaze the Spam until shiny and coated.
- Add 100–120g cooked short-grain rice into your musubi mold.
- Sprinkle furikake on the rice if using.
- Add a thin egg omelette layer if using.
- Place the glazed Spam on top.
