Beethoven Box: Meditation & Emotion

If we take seriously the mindfulness meditation strategy of Sam Harris, we can apply it to a new symphony by Beethoven. Take the Eroica Symphony and (especially if you've never heard it before) apply a strategy of total concentration and total mindfulness to symphony. It's a pretty impossible task to apply total concentration in mindfulness to a symphony that you've never heard before. But it's fun to try.  It's about 50 minutes long and it will take you on an adventure. Is intended mostly for people. Notice when you listen to it what happens to your concentration what happens to your emotion what happens to your cognition.

You can repeat the exercise later and in fact, repeat it again and again because with each new listen, the meditation takes on different significance and meaning and the recognition of the different elements of the symphony and the different patterns in the symphony can enhance the meditation experience.
