Overview

This section is wrote by Charlie

The stone remains of a once flourishing subterranean society. Towering arches and colosseums have now been reclaimed by the local megaflora, forming a mysterious enchanted glade in the process.

Layout

The player will begin within a small shrine at ground level, an old withered pathway leading to an open area. Going left, the player can pass under the ruined archway to the mushroom forest, featuring a crystal trap under a dilapidated bridge. Strange idols can be found around the area, indicating a past civilization. Following the path, the player can head to the upper area containing a healing totem and a teleporter.

Unlike other areas, the mushroom glade houses a large dark crystal, stowed within the caves walls. Interacting with this crystal gives the player the opportunity to enter the final area of the game.

For the Mushroom Glade the intention was for the level to feel like a magical, untouched, underground fallen kingdom. I used various statues, lanterns, and pillars to convey this story.
