Before jumping into building my own product, I analyzed similar apps that already existed and found there to be a deficit in the particular UX and main use case I was looking for.

All three lacked personal, easy-to-access UI that can be quickly accessed (i.e. right before ordering).

To begin my design process, I interviewed 5 of my peers to gain insight into their current food logging habits. I identified the following:
