In order to maintain the proper IP and domain reputation, your emails should have consistent content. Due to link tracking and image display functions the domain, where your Friendly Automate is sitting will be included into each email you send out. The images with be using your Friendly domain, like:

<img src="<https://friendly.yourdomain.ch/img/image.png>" />

And the same with links in your email.

Improve your domain reputation

You can now replace this friendly domain into another so called tracking domain.

Once you do it, all traces of your original friendly.yourdomain.ch domain would disappear and the tracking domain would take it's place.

This allows you to build each of your domain's sending reputation independently without ever affecting each other.

This is how you do it

Let's say you have 2 websites: katze.ch and hund.ch.

Friendly is installed on friendly.hund.ch, and you'd like to send out emails on katze.ch as well.

  1. Create a new subdomain, and set up DNS for friendly.katze.ch as a CNAME of friendly.hund.ch
  2. Ask us to install the MultiDomain plugin and open it:

https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/secure.notion-static.com/a0d1fef4-78cd-4630-8a28-36817cb59a3f/Untitled.png

  1. Add the following setting to your plugin:

https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/secure.notion-static.com/470fa4f1-3e07-4d50-a590-9a439cb5f747/Untitled.png

Now you can set [email protected] as sender for that specific email you want to send out using the advanced tab.

https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/secure.notion-static.com/5ae1a283-87d0-47f8-a94b-5bbfda1d9627/Untitled.png

From now on every time you use info@katze.ch, the email links and images, unsubscribe, etc will use the friendly.katze.ch subdomain, and reinforce the katze.ch reputation.

<aside> ⚠️ Every time you add a new domain, you have to let us know - as we need to configure your server to be able to serve that domain. Otherwise links and images won't work!
