Mosaic is a technology-focused construction company that orients its home and construction projects around their own "pattern library." Inspired by Christopher Alexander's A Pattern Language (see A Pattern Language in our Think Tank), Mosaic documents their values in construction by category: culture, code, construction, and community. This entry contains summaries of their patterns for culture.
At Plot Twisters, we want to enable individuals to hold multicultural conversations that are both self-aware and open. Mosaic's culture patterns provide ideas to encourage individuals to reflect on their own roles and narratives, then contextualize them in team settings. In conversation with our studies in molecular organizations and pluralist communities, these culture patterns help us place each storyteller's journey in an interdependent web of journeys. This library is especially important for Earth's To-Do List, which emphasizes how storytellers can join other humans to tell stories and develop new cultures through collective action.
