The information you share with your matched Sponsor (your Sponsor) will be kept confidential and released only with your consent. If you agree to share any information, you will need to sign an authorization form. This form states exactly what information is to be shared, with whom, and why, and it also sets time limits.

However, there are two situations in which your Sponsor might talk about some aspects of your case with another Sponsor:

• When your Sponsor is away (e.g., vacation), a trusted fellow sponsor “cover” for the your Sponsor. These sponsors will be available to you in case of time-sensitive matters. Therefore, they need to know a little bit about you.
• Sponsor sometimes consult with other sponsors or other professionals about you. This helps your Sponsor to offer better support. These persons are also required to keep your information private. Your situation would be discussed hypothetically. Your name will never be given to them, some information will be changed or omitted, and they will be told only as much as they need to know to understand your situation.
