👤 About the Founder

Margaret is the founder of DataHub platform designed to make legal intelligence on data protection and emerging technologies accessible, practical, and actionable for professionals across Africa.

A lawyer by training, Margaret has built a career at the intersection of data governance, compliance, and operational execution. She has served in both advisory and management roles - guiding organizations through regulatory change, structuring cross-border compliance frameworks, and implementing enterprise-level legal operations. Her work spans private practice, in-house counsel environments, and cross-sector partnerships in digital transformation.

Her experience leading legal teams, managing information governance projects, and supporting institutional decision-making gave her firsthand insight into a recurring problem:

"African legal professionals, especially those working across multiple jurisdictions, struggle to access timely, structured, and relevant legal updates. Valuable insights often remain fragmented across regulator websites, court portals, firm blogs, and reports."

Margaret built DataHub to solve this problem.

What began as a research curation side project has evolved into one of Africa’s most comprehensive legal intelligence platforms, tracking developments in over 35 jurisdictions across 28 legal areas, with a sharp focus on data protection and AI governance.
