Travel from Airport to Downtown

Shuttle

Montreal offers an $11 (as of July 2022) shuttle from the Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport to Downtown Montreal. The shuttle ticket can be purchased at an automated Metro kiosk within the airport near the arrival doors.

After boarding the shuttle (bus number 747), one can continue using the Metro (subway) system within the city for up to two hours after scanning their ticket the first time.

Taxi

Lyft is currently not yet available in Montreal (only Toronto for Canada) (as of July 2022).

If Uber prices are exceptionally high (above $41), one can take a taxi with a flat rate of $41 to any destination within Downtown Montreal.

💡 Taxis from Montreal airport to the Downtown Montreal have a flat rate of $41; this may be helpful when rideshare prices surge

Some taxi drivers may take advantage of tourists/foreigners and tell the passengers that the price will have to be higher than the flat rate due to distances/traffic/etc; if this occurs, note that $41 is applicable for all airport to city rides, and that the driver is deliberately embellishing rules for greater profit.
