For aspiring Product Managers, the journey of breaking into a Product Management role can feeling daunting. The recruitment process is often riddled with feelings of imposter syndrome, stress, and uncertainty. But many of these feelings can be alleviated if you do mock PM interviews. Mock PM interviews allow you to learn how to became better at breaking down complex product questions into smaller pieces to answer them concisely and strategically, improve your communication skills, and boost your self confidence!
Before explaining what a mock PM interview looks like, it is important to understand what a "real PM interview" looks like. In real world PM interviews, the most common types of questions are as follows: analytical, behavioral, product strategy, product design, estimation, and technical. (Note: If you want to find out what these questions actually look like, refer to the sources at the bottom of this page!) Not only are there a variety of question types, PM interviews can also take many forms, with some of those being take-home case studies, in-person interviews, and coding assessments. Hearing all of this can be overwhelming but don't worry, we've got you covered!
With the mock PM interviews in the Product Buds community, you can practice common PM questions in a one-on-one setting with partners of your choosing (more information about partner selection below). The first PM Interview Workshop will be on Wednesday, June 17th at 5 PM PST / 8 PM EST with Stephen Cognetta, the founder of Exponent, and the Remote Students PM Community.
