In the beginning...

The MiteraHealth brand was born out of the need to provide specific community health systems that catered to individuals and families on stringent budgets. The vision is to create an enabling environment where all people have equal access to quality and affordable healthcare services.

Mitera Health, a promising insurance provider in Nigeria, faced a critical challenge: their brand didn't inspire the trust and confidence essential in the insurance sector. In a market where reliability and security are paramount, their existing visual identity felt generic, lacking the warmth and assurance customers sought. Imagine a family, facing unexpected medical expenses, seeking the stability of insurance, and encountering a brand that didn't instill a sense of security. That was the gap we needed to bridge.


Why a rebrand?

While the company set out to be public, it is only proper to ensure our quality service delivery is not limited to our healthcare services. We want to create a system that aligns with our brand messaging and vision, thereby imprinting the feeling we want in the hearts of our customers and potential customers. Most of the time, the old logo was not scalable and usually had issues fitting into certain mediums. I made it a task to fix these issues while also taking good aesthetics into consideration.

Where were we?

The current logo is rigid and static and doesn't give a lot of room for flexibility in usage across different mediums. The rigid design is fine for some tasks, like simple branding on stationary. However, it lacks the appropriate design system to work in all cases. In many situations, a logo with more dynamic design elements is required.
