Gameplay

  1. Character drawing - As a player, you will need to draw a character card at the beginning of each match. Each card will have a random set of attributes such as hp, attack, speed, etc. During Alpha testing, drawing cards is free. This NFT card is also your character when you enter the game. Your objective is to extract and loot treasures out of the cave entrance. (Below is just a sketch, not final image)

  1. Treasure digging - Players will enter a randomly generated map with pre-placed treasures. Different treasures have different point values. Once you successfully extract treasures out of the cave, you will be rewarded with points for this match. In the game, your movement speed is directly affected by your starting attributes and load, so you must decide when to start transporting treasure out of the cave based on how much treasure you've found.

  1. Battle system - The game contains a combat system where any player can attack another player to loot all the items in the opponent's inventory.
    1. Combat will follow a turn-based system where characters must choose their "action" and "strategy". Actions include attacking or fleeing, while strategy options feature three mutually constraining choices. They together result in combat outcomes.
    2. For example, X strategy restrains Y strategy, and A player chooses "X strategy" and "attack", while B player chooses "Y strategy" and "attack". Because X restrains Y, A will successfully attack B, but B cannot attack A. B will have to give all treasures to A if dead, and start over again. Action strategies create randomness in the combat outcome through the relationship between strategies.

  1. Season system - Each match is considered as a season, estimated to last 3~5 days. Within one match, you can enter and exit multiple times. At the end of each season, players' scores will be calculated and ranked based on the points from extracting treasure.

  1. Future development - In the future, we will add features of character leveling and item refinement and synthesis. Players can choose to gradually improve the strength of their characters in-game and through looting large treasures. Players can also choose to be thrifty and hunt small treasures.
  2. Furthermore, as all information is recorded on-chain, information is transparent, and players can play the game with transparency, making player decisions based on careful strategy choices. We are also exploring the implementation of a semi-asymmetric information game through ZK technology.
