Your Quick Guide to Aggressive, Mission-Driven Reading

Step 1: Skim for Missions

Scan the text:

• Read the title and headers.
• Read the first sentence of each paragraph.

Ask:

• What's the main idea here?
• What's the mission of this section?
• What questions should I be asking as I read?

✅ Tip: Write 1–2 word labels next to sections as you skim ("Problem," "Examples," "Solution," etc.).

Step 2: Read Aggressively

Paragraph-by-paragraph:

• After each paragraph, pause.
• Ask: "What was this paragraph's mission?"
• Summarize the mission in your own words (one sentence max).

Example:

"What defines the problem with current system?"
