Minefinder

Challenge yourself with this classic game of logic and deduction. The goal is to clear the board without detonating any hidden mines.

• Accessing the App: Tap the Minefinder icon (a bomb 💣) on the Home Screen.
• Main Screen & Gameplay:
  • The Grid: The main area of the game is a grid of covered cells.
  • The Header: At the top, you'll find:
    • Mine Counter (🚩): Shows the total number of mines minus the number of flags you've placed.
    • Restart Button (😊/😵/😎): Tap this smiley face at any time to start a new game. It changes to a dizzy face (😵) if you lose or a cool face (😎) if you win.
    • Timer (⏱️): Starts counting seconds from your first click.
  • How to Play:
    • Reveal a Cell: Tap any cell to reveal what's underneath.
    • Place a Flag: Right-click (on PC) or long-press (on mobile) on a cell to place a flag (🚩) where you suspect a mine is hidden. This will prevent you from accidentally clicking it. Long-press again to remove the flag.
    • Interpreting Numbers: If a revealed cell has a number, it tells you exactly how many mines are touching it in the surrounding eight cells.
    • Clearing Empty Areas: If you reveal a cell with no number (an empty space), all adjacent empty cells will automatically be cleared for you, saving you time.
• Winning and Losing:
  • You Lose if you tap a cell containing a mine. The game will end, and all mine locations will be revealed.
  • You Win by successfully revealing all cells that do not contain a mine. When you win, the timer stops, and a victory screen will appear showing your time.
• Difficulty and Records:
  • Settings (⚙️): Tap the gear icon to change the game's difficulty. You can choose between Beginner, Intermediate, and Expert, or create a Custom board with your own dimensions and number of mines.
  • Records (🏆): Tap the trophy icon to view the high-score leaderboard. Your best times for each difficulty level are automatically saved and ranked. If you win a game and make it into the top 10, your name will be added to the list!
