Mind Robotics is building Physical AI for real-world industrial deployment. We believe the fastest path to broadly capable robots is to work on clearly defined, high impact problems. That's why we're starting where the need is most acute, and the environment is most exacting: the factory floor.
Our industrial focus
While the potential for robotics is vast, the industry has historically struggled with a cold start problem, finding a clear willingness to pay and a scalable source of data. Mind Robotics is uniquely positioned to bypass these hurdles through a deliberate partnership with Rivian. While many robotics applications face unproven market demand or speculative use cases, the industrial sector is confronting an immediate labor crisis defined by high costs and high attrition. This provides manufacturers with a clear, immediate ROI for substituting expensive labor with intelligent automation and creates aligned incentives to invest in foundational research.
Our unique Rivian partnership
Our beachhead is automotive manufacturing, an environment that demands both human-like efficiency, and the ability to navigate high-variability workflows. We are targeting complex tasks such as wire harness assembly, precision part placement, kitting, and sequencing, that have traditionally resisted automation. The variety of these high-dexterity manipulation challenges in automotive manufacturing not only presents a massive market opportunity, but also provides the perfect environment to build generalized Physical AI that will scale to other industrial verticals.
Our strategic partnership with Rivian secures first-hand access to scalable data from active manufacturing lines, fueling our robotics data flywheel and enabling rapid iteration with a customer eager to deploy in the real world. With Rivian as our leaned-in first customer, we can focus on pure technical execution.
Our product strategy
We are not building single-task machines. Instead, we lean on the progress in modern robotics AI to build a solution that can generalize across core tasks and be deployed across an entire plant. We are building a friendly robotic platform designed for safe, effective collaboration alongside humans. Our roadmap is aggressive. We aim to have generalized robots performing high-value work in Rivian plants this year. This is the first step in a long-term integration journey that aims to deeply embed our stack into next-generation manufacturing facilities. While our immediate focus is mastering the automotive floor, our architecture is designed to be inherently generalizable, designed to scale into a wide range of industrial verticals already seeking our solution (there is a large, varied group of excited prospective customers angling to be next on our list!)
Our trajectory
Mind Robotics is a standalone company that spun out of Rivian to serve industries beyond automotive and to establish the independent capital structure needed to support this mission.
Our $115M seed round was led by Eclipse Capital, Greenoaks, and Hanabi in late 2025. In Spring 2026, we announced our $500M Series A led by Accel and Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), with participation by Eclipse Capital, Hanabi, Bessemer Venture Partners, Prysm Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, Greenoaks, and Allen & Co.
Working with us
We believe the hardest problems in AI are solved when researchers and engineers are hands-on with hardware every day. Our work will require solving for robotics in the real-world, and the foundational challenges in Physical AI. We are looking for people who are passionate about robotics, value ownership, and are excited about tackling difficult problems. Mind offers the agility of a startup with the resources, data, and built-in customer of an industrial pioneer. Join us, if you want to move beyond digital intelligence and put code into motion.
