Most microphone issues come down to permission in the operating system or browser.

On Windows check the privacy settings on the microphone.

On Windows11 if you notice low audio drive levels, please check the following settings:

In Windows 11 there’s an option to “Enable Audio Enhancements”, and if you select it, it interferes with the USB microphone headset levels because it has its own audio enhancements. Once I unchecked the option everything works fine now.

The option to unchecked is CONTROL PANEL | SOUND | RECORDING, select the microphone you want to configure and select PROPERTIES. Once the properties screen appears click the PROPERTIES tab, and then ADVANCED. There’s a section labeled SIGNAL ENHANCEMENTS and there’s an option labeled ENABLE AUDIO ENHANCEMENTS. (Tnx Bob! 🍺)
