Project: Design Tabby, a 24-7 virtual mentor to help teachers self-reflect and improve their teaching

What advantages are there to using a bot over a human mentor?

• Create Log - An automated system can categorize and record teacher responses
• Quick Reference - A bot can cross-reference teacher responses and match them to a topic in a reflective journal prompts library, or to a time stamp in a model teacher observation video in an online library (see Questions to consider below)
• Availability - A bot is available when late-night or early-AM inspiration strikes
• Ease of rating - An automated system can track points entered into a district's self-evaluation rubric, and measure any improvement in how teachers rate themselves
