Tech Runs proposing to experiment with a recurring membership fee service
In our attempt to explore sustainable revenue channels for Tech Runs while keeping membership simple and familiar - based on conversations we had with all of our cultures and the research we conducted, we have concluded that NFTs can be used to promote engagement and produce recurring membership fees utilizing simple fiat onramp integrations like Stripe, Shopify, Crossmint, etc. to enhance our membership experience and support staff.

How will the new system work?
- The Global Pass NFT membership model will unify all Tech Runs cultures under one metaDAO community. All events across all cultures will now be available to members. This pass was made with the Digital Nomad in mind.
- Initially, Tech Runs NFTs will be priced modestly at $100 per month, billed monthly, quarterly or annually.
- With a general membership pass, we can explore upgrades in the future under a simple revenue model that reinvests membership dues in the communities for enhanced experiences and contributor payouts.
- In Q1 2023, we will create 500 passes. Our current members will be able to claim 200 of those passes free of charge (see below for details), and the remaining 300 passes will be available for sale shortly after.
- Revenue will be collected globally and re-distributed locally to ensure that all cultures can uphold the $100 a month experience.

In what ways does my membership benefit me?
- In Phase I:
1- We provide members with access to our private Telegram/Discord channels to engage with one another locally and globally. (As a result, Collab Land will gate access with the NFT rather than the local ERC20 tokens.)
2- You will receive 8-12 private sports and wellness sessions per season to maintain your mental and physical health.
3- You will have access to 3-6 community events, panels and experiences designed to introduce you to new and emerging technologies and business topics.
4- You'll be granted access to our network of vetted cultural leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors in the sports, technology, and media industries.
5- The ability to take advantage of the perks provided by our Partner Network (local discounts, access to venues and events)

Will I have to start paying if I'm already a member?
- Upon the launch of this pass, all current members will be able to simply "claim" their NFT membership pass.
- To claim an airdropped pass, members must submit their name, wallet, and culture to a claim page.
- This pass will be valid through 2023. The value of this offer to our current members is ~$600. In July 2023, current members will become "token holders" but not members. You will always retain governance rights within the community as long as you own the local minimum threshold of $MTRS1, $LATR, or $BAYTR tokens. To access the token-gated chat, biweekly runs, and community events, you must have an active NFT pass.

Who is DAOLabs?
- DAOLabs is the official corporate entity founded by DT that acts as Tech Runs’ venture studio and accelerator. Tech Runs is transitioning to the new system to become more financially self-sufficient so that we don't have to rely on DAOLabs as much. We have received funding from DAOLabs for our expansion into four markets, all of our major events, and experiments (such as the new NFT model).
- DAOLabs has played an important role in our journey and we are excited to expand our revenue generation capabilities.

What are we granting Tech Runs Global Leadership permission to decide?
- The Tech Runs Global Leadership team was created by members of the DAO to assure that the brand experience is consistent as it expands into new markets.
- Your approval of this proposal gives the Tech Runs Global Leadership team the power to make day-to-day decisions regarding the new system's implementation and management.
- These decisions include, but are not limited to: hiring a team for the build, collecting data, using the data to inform other operational decisions, sharing revenue across cultures, and using revenue to grow the global business.
- By proposing a Snapshot vote, the community may revoke the authority of global leadership to conduct the new system if they are grossly negligent in the execution or management.

How will we stay informed?
- Following an approved proposal snapshot, members will be updated quarterly, in writing, regarding the status of the project.
- Approximately one week after every quarterly written update, a global leadership member will host a Zoom meeting for all members across all cultures to ask questions, make suggestions, etc.

What could be the future utility of the NFT pass?
- The unique thing about these NFTs is that in the future they will be able to perform dynamic functions.
- Which means that the design can change based on engagement data and payment metadata collected.
- For example: When you apply for $LATR and are approved by the membership team, you are given a link to purchase a TR NFT membership pass. The pass starts off as black with white lettering. If you participate in Tech Runs events and experiences, join as a Contributor, and/or remain an active member season after season, your Black/White NFT Pass may become GOLD, then Platinum with badges and/or stripes showcasing your status.
- Our next step will be to create programming that gives you different perks based on your status. Rewarding the most engaged and tenured members.
Our main focus here is on exploring our way to revenue. Currently, nothing is concrete. The entire process is collaborative. Our goal is to build in openness and transparency in order to tap into all the brilliant minds we have at hand.
