Sales Intro Call
An external conversation with a prospective company where we learn about their situation, pain points, and requirements, and provide a brief talk track. NOT calls that include a product demo
Sales Demo
A meeting with a prospect where we uncover what has them exploring our solution, walk them through the product, and gather information relevant to their purchase process, needs, and pain.
Candidate Interview
A conversation with a job candidate to assess their skills, experience, and cultural fit for the role, while also providing them with insight into the company and team.
One on One
A regular internal conversation between a manager and an individual team member, such as to review progress, share feedback, surface challenges, and align on goals, growth, and next steps.
Support
A conversation with the team about training, updates, any guided session about new features.
Project Sync
A meeting whose primary focus is to collaborate on a specific existing project (or projects). Held by a project group (or pair). Does not include, e.g., project kickoffs, all-hands meetings, general 1:1s, general information sharing from teams working on the project(s) to other teams interested in the project, or teammate training sessions (like onboarding new staff).
Project Kick-off
Non-recurring meeting whose primary focus is to describe or outline a new project (or projects), including assigning the first tasks (or defining a to-do to assign the first tasks). Held by a project group (or pair). Does not include, e.g., regular syncs or check-ins.
Sync Call
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss an existing customer's current experience with the product. This could answer any general questions that prompted the meeting or discussing recently released features. A call like this may also cover pricing, current subscription information, or product renewal discussions. This meeting is a general check-in type call between a CSM and a customer.
It is not an onboarding call for new customers who are learning how to use the application. If a customer is discussing just coming out of sales or recently purchasing our product, it is not a sync call.
Partner Discovery
Meetings where we introduce potential partners to one of our partnership programs (App partners, Public API partner, Growth Partner program, solution partner, or Agency partners) and explore how well the partner fits with it. These typically include some intros, an understanding of the ICP, and overviews of the partner. Sometimes, these partners are also existing customers, so do not confuse those with Sales meetings.
