In meeting 33 we will welcome Bonnie Bodden a compliance analyst with Maples and Calder. Bonnie is based in the Cayman Islands where she was born and breed, and has 10 years experience in the financial services industry primarily in compliance. Her expertise is in client onboarding and due diligence. Bonnie has worked with various industry leading firms as well as the Cayman Islands regulator, Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, and holds CAMS and ICA qualifications.

Bonnie will share the importance of establishing beneficial ownership in the context of compliance. Beneficial ownership transparency is directly related to the effectiveness of a jurisdiction’s AML systems and the essential role of these systems in preventing, detecting, prosecuting and sanctioning financial crimes. It is therefore crucial to a jurisdiction’s resilience against ML/TF threats.
