My name is Christina, the human behind the screen. It’s so nice to meet you here.

I have spent my whole life obsessed with understanding human nature. From an early age, I saw the light in people and wondered why some lights were brighter than others. Recognizing this essential quality of potential inside each of us planted a seed inside my head and heart. Today, through my body of work, I have devoted my life to make self and communal actualization of this divine potential both accessible and compelling for as many humans as possible, regardless of race, gender, nationality, disability or economic status.

The journey to this place feels something like one that you might read about in a fantastical novel. Maybe, to some extent, I designed my life in accordance with the heroes I read about in the books that became my safe harbor as a child. My childhood was a dark place, filled with emotional turbulence and chaos. But even then, I was radicalized by books. The worlds I escaped to in my books offered a window into a new reality. These experiences of journeying through my imagination into other worlds taught me that life could be a glorious adventure. Perhaps it was in the lonely nights, huddled under the covers of my bed with a flashlight in one hand and book in the other that I began to remember that no matter what challenges we encounter in life, there is a way out of the dark and into the light.

My worldview development really began to unfold when, as a young student in grade school, I fell in love with lingua Latina. Latin quickly became a gateway into an entire philosophical system that insists a good life is not only possible but intrinsically purposeful. I chose to devote myself to the study of a body of work preserved for thousands of years, for no deeper purpose except that I simply enjoyed it. I have never accepted that I would only realize my value “in the real world” by following a prescriptive method. Learning, for the pure joy of it, had always seemed worthy of my precious time. Yet, for most of my life, I couldn’t really explain its intrinsic value.

Then, in 2009, in the middle of my college career, my dream of pursuing a career as a civil rights lawyer became a distant mirage. In that year, I underwent emergency life-saving surgery and shortly after I was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder and anorexia. The feeling of helplessness lasted for a moment only; I was determined to find a way to turn these obstacles into opportunities. That was the beginning of my path to self-mastery and love. I sought wisdom from the realms of stoic philosophy, Buddhism, holistic nutrition, and I began to learn how to lift weights competitively, how to sit still and meditate, and eventually, I opened my heart up to connect with my spiritual guides and develop a listening practice, all with faith that a greater purpose for my life would reveal itself to me.

And eventually, over time, it did. After finally breaking through cycles of trauma, abuses, illnesses and failures, in 2021, I set out to build a business that represented my path of overcoming anything life would throw at me. A part of my journey is largely focused on being a source of wisdom for my audience and customers, with a broad vision to help other humans push through their comfort zones, embrace their inner truths and unlock the keys to unlocking a deep love for reality.

In the process of writing down my life philosophy, as it’s found its own substance and form over the years, I came across a word that ties it all together: apophenia.

Physical illness, failure, poverty, mental disability, loneliness, near loss of life, childhood turmoil, and heartbreak have all made their way into my personal story. Now, ready and able to tell the tale, I can affirmatively proclaim that the obstacle IS the way, truth IS subject to circumstance, and each human living on Earth has a responsibility to contribute to our collective reality.

If you look it up on Wikipedia, apophenia means “the tendency to perceive a connection or meaningful pattern between unrelated or random things.” Like the rug in the The Big Lebowski, this word tied it all together for me. What if my life events weren’t actually random? What if being human is like being a synthesizer for seemingly unrelated things? Is that adaptability, our sheer capacity for breadth, variety, flux, and change, part of what makes us human?

Loaded with a unique syntax of life experiences, a critical understanding for the value of words, and inspired by a love of engaging other curious humans to join me, I’ve set out to develop the Infinity Road community and its own media arm, beginning with Remember the Future Podcast, to remind as many humans as possible that they are not alone on their journey to wellness and wisdom and that with even the choice to do one small thing better each day, they too can nourish their lives and the lives of their peers with a deeper understanding for the potential of human aliveness.
